Dear specialists and conferees,

In the original plan, the 2006 American Nanoscience and Technology Conference, which co-organized by American Association of Nanoscience and Technology (AANT), Sino-German Association of Nanobiotechnology, National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, P.R. China and National Key Laboratory of Nanobiology Technology, Ministry of Health, P.R.China, would be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on Jan. 14-16. However, due to the Avian Influenza taking place sporadically in many countries, lots of conferees proposed that the date of the conference should be changed. After the discussion of Science Committee of the conference, the conference date determined finally is May 20-22, 2006 and the place of conference is unaltered.

Scientists in the field of nanoscience and technology from North America, China and many other countries in the world will discuss their most recent research development in nanoscience during the conference. The Scientific Committee of the Conference, comprising nanoscience experts from North America, China and Germany will evaluate all the papers submitted to this conference. Authors of first 10 excellent papers (one person from one paper) selected by the Committee will have the opportunity to visit universities or research institutes in USA for two weeks after the conference. Nanoscience Publishing House (USA) and American Association of Nanoscience and Technology (AANT) will cover all the expense including round-way tickets, accommodation and other transportation cost.

Nanoscience, the official journal of AANT will publish papers accepted by the conference. This periodic, co-published by American Association of Nanoscience and Technology (AANT), Sino-German Association of Nanobiotechnology and National Key Laboratory of Nanobiological Technology, Ministry of Health, P.R.China, is the first periodic focusing solely on nanoscience research by scientists from North America, Germany and China. All the conference attendants and authors of accepted papers can apply for AANT membership for free (DOWNLOAD "AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF NANOSCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION" ). Besides all the rights as members, they will also get journals of Nanoscience free of charge.

1.Content and Requirement of papers
(1)Reports of researches and applications on new theories, technologies, patents and products of nanoscience and technology.
(2)Articles of basic and application researches on nanotechnology in domains such as diagnosis and treatment, medicine, energy sources, construction materials, electronics, biology and environment protection, etc.
(3)Articles on applications of nanobiology technology in life science will be preferential.
(4)Paper should include an abstract within 300 words.
(5)Please refer to the Requirements for Submission of Nanoscience for the format of paper.

2. Deadline

The deadline is Apr. 15, 2006. Please submit your papers in accordance with the requirement by EMS, e-mail or fax to avoid the loss of papers.

3. Date and Place of the Conference

This conference will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA from May 20, to 22, 2006.
